We would like to inform you that the name Acar will gradually disappear from our business operations. Acar has been part of nv Gezel since 2018. From the summer of 2026, the branch in Sint-Niklaas will officially continue under the name Gezel. Former manager Vincent Acar is leaving the team, along with the company name Acar.
A new name, the same trusted service
In mid-2026, Vincent Acar, former managing director of Acar nv, will be leaving the company. Along with Vincent, the company name Acar will also disappear from our business operations.
"The management and the Gezel team would like to thank Vincent Acar for the successful collaboration over the past few years," says CEO Daan Goedgezelschap. "Since the acquisition in 2018, our Buggenhout and Sint-Niklaas departments have grown into a strong tandem. From mid-2026, we will continue under the common name Gezel."
Solid foundation
Although the name is changing, our operations in Sint-Niklaas will remain as you know them. The team, expertise, and services you rely on will remain entirely unchanged. What has changed is that private activities have been discontinued. The focus will therefore be entirely on the B2B market. However, we will remain fully operational from Sint-Niklaas.
The day-to-day management of our department in Sint-Niklaas will be handled by Technical Director Gino Van Gucht. Gino has been responsible for general policy since last year. In addition to being your trusted contact at Gezel , he is also Gezel of contact.
With the combined history of Gezel Acar, we have more than 160 years of experience in heating, plumbing, and HVAC solutions. This is a solid foundation on which we continue to build in order to support you even better.
